تأثیر تدریس استراتژیهای فراشناختی بر مهارت صحبت کردن فراگیران سطح متوسطه ایرانی

this study was an attempt to investigate the effect of teaching meta cognitive strategies on iranian intermediate efl students speaking proficiency. in this study the researcher has employed metacognitive strategies taken from brown (2000) to teach speaking strategies to number of participants. the participants were intermediate students of shokouh language institute; they were divided into an experimental and a control groups. group b benefited from metacognitive strategies, and no specific treatment was applied for group a. based on the definition of meta cognitive strategies, the researcher tried to manipulate the teaching speaking and prosper the fluency of speaking of the participants. the results of this study, indicated that the use of metacognitive strategies was more helpful in development of the speaking ability of experimental group . the findings of this study suggest that the teachers should take advantage of the metacognitive strategies more effectively in their classes while teaching speaking skill.
